Asa & Stumbleine – Glow (ViLLΛGE Remix)

New free music from Asa & Stumbleine, with Village on the remix.

This isn’t the first piece of music from Asa I’ve posted up, check out the ‘Withdrawal EP’ hereand also check out the collaboration project between Asa and Kursa, Vexisle

‘Glow’ was originally from Asa & Stumbleine’s ‘Your Secret EP’, on Inspected Records back in May last year, a beautiful chilled out affair, loaded to the nines with uplifting atmosphere and killer percussion and samples. Village, who hails from Romania, has taken ‘Glow’ and laced it with a healthy dollop of bass, giving it a trap-like feel to it, but still retaining the originals atmosphere and integrity.

I highly advise checking out Village’s back catalogue if you like what you hear here, the man has some serious tracks in his back catalogue.

Free to download from Asa’s Soundcloud page.

J.Ravens Chooooooooooooon of the week!

Flatmate – Hotball (Vexisle remix)

Continuing our brand new  feature that enables us to force feed you the music we love, I bring to the table a brand new collaboration project from two of my favourite up-and-coming producers, Vexisle.

The joint efforts of Asa and Kursa combine to remix Hotball, by Flatmate, with fucking top notch results. From the first few bars of this storming neuro-hop number you can hear the styles of both Asa and Kursa pulling through, with amazingly crisp and deep bass, and the kind of attention to detail on the drums and percussion that we’ve grown to expect from these two.

There’s going to be some very exciting things to come from these guys in the near future, so keep your ears peeled.

As with pretty much every track we ever post on this blog, good speakers/good quality headphones are a must, Brass Taxx is all about the bass baby.

Forthcoming on Caliber Music.

Asa – Withdrawal EP

So if we’re to believe what the Met Office tells us, (And they’ve got a shaky track record) we are finally about to cop the summer we so very much deserve. Good news!

Ya know what else is good? Music so cheap that it’s practically insulting. Asa’s Withdrawal EP was orignally put up for free, but reached its download limitations within a few hours, so instead, you can purchase this 4 track bundle of joy for the measly sum of 40 whole english pence. Or if you’re feeling really tight, bandcamp reset their limits on the 29th of July, and you can get it for free (Until it hits the limit again)

Consisting of four chilled out, atmospheric and glitched up dubstep tracks, this EP from one of my favourite rising stars also features a collaboration with another two of my fave up and comers; Teknian and Kasket, and a couple of remixes from Eleven8 and Nowan.

The attention to detail in this EP, particularly in the percussion work is fantastic, and is perfect to kick back and relax with. Make sure you check out Asa’s previous works, as well as Teknian, Kasket, Nowan and Eleven8, as if you like this EP you will no doubt enjoy their respective solo works.
