Free music Monday

Well, you made it through Monday in one piece, a fact that I believe is worthy of celebration, so well done you, give yourself a pat on the back, run yourself a bubble bath and indulge yourself with some lush free tunes to sooth away the remnants of the weekends hangover.

First off is new down tempo/electronica/trip hop from the legendary Bonobo. He’s releasing this track, ‘Cirrus’ as promotion for his upcoming  album, ‘The North Borders’ in April.

Now not only is this tune amazing, and free, the music video is, in my opinion, a contender for best animated music video ever. Graphic designer Cyriak has taken samples from 50′s american TV clips and mashed them up until they became an intense LSD trip-esq animation. Utterly amazing video.

I shall be delving into Cyriak’s work in more detail this week on the blog, so make sure you check back if you like what you see.

Another nice and laid back tune to set you in good stead for the rest of the week, this one comes in the form of a remix of a Disclosure track, Tenderly. Unless you’ve been living under a large rock with your fingers in you ears for the past few months you have undoubtedly heard some of the tunes from this brotherly duo, who are currently riding high on the wave of the future garage/deep house movement currently sweeping the UK music scene.

Remixed by a lesser known Australian called ‘Flashback’, he takes the original and gives a good dollop of 90′s house flavouring, taking an already chilled out track, and reclining it just that little bit more.

In keeping with the garagey-vibes, and rounding off this post is Annie Macs Free Music Monday tune, a track by up-and-coming producer Shift K3y.

Pure laid back garage bass lines on this one, entitled ‘What We Had’
